air fuel mixture screws

    this may sound dumb but wich screw is fuel and wich is air and how do i adjust help the carb is a q jet

    They are both fuel and air.
    One for each side of the carb. If you have a vacuume gage hook it up to a constant vacuume souce.
    turn the screws in all the way, do not tighten them just turn them in till they bottom out.
    Then back them out 1 1/2 turns.
    Then watching the gage adjust one then the other till you have the highest reading.
    I just did this not more than 5 minutes ago, but my gage is at work so I just did it by ear.
