well, i'm in this class called "manufacturing processes" and we have this associated lab where we create this dorky paperweight using 3 different cnc machines - we don't even input the code, we just run the machine to see how it works. anyway, i'll post pics of my stupid little toy as time progresses... but that's not the point.

so my school has a complete machine shop. after i machined a few of my parts today, i started talking with the instructor, and in about 2 or 3 weeks we'll be done with the project. it happens to be the only project we'll do for this class. so, for the following 6 weeks, i can come in and learn to use any of the other machines and such. i can use the shop any time i want and build whatever i want! :D ahhhhhhhh... the possibilities... i see a couple new bumpers in my future... :D :D :D

The biggest plus to me working where I work is access to the machine shop. Supposedly we should be getting a new mill, a plasma cutter and a horizontal band saw.

I have learned some cool stuff and made some pretty cool stuff too. Getting better and better every day. You'd be amazed at the stuff you can make after you have some more hands on experience.
