Just wondering if the NP203 is the same internally between the Big 3. I have heard that there are some differences between them. I wouldnt think so, but who knows.

I have heard they are all pretty much the same thing.

Only differences are the input shafts on each of course. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Adaptors are another different thing, too.

Between the Dodge and Ford, there are 31 splines on Ford and 20-something on Dodge.

    GM t-cases use 3 different spline counts. 10, 27 and 32 splines.

without tearing the thing apart, is there any other way to tell the spline count on a chevy 203?

10 spline is rare 4 speed version
    27 is t350 version
    32 must be t400 version

the Wagner machine thread states the ford case differed from the chev as far as gear clearance requirements to put aftermarket deep gears in.
origonal post is fairly vague as to what he wants to swap though
