Hey Burt, where'd ya get that tank? Is it supposed to be a pretty easy swap, or are ya gonna have to fab up a lot of part? I'm looking to replace my stocker and increase my capacity too, that 20 gallons doesn't last long.

Shouldn't it be called uncommon sense?

Thanks Burt. Kinda pricey, but let me know how it goes. I'll be seriously looking into a new tank soon.

Ya they are not cheep. But if you want a 16ga Steel tank then this one is worth savin your pennys for! I didn't want a stock tank or a second gen tank. They are thin and not tuff at all. The type of wheelin I like to do requires me to build my rig as tuff as possable plus the 37 gallons should take me 350miles instead of 200miles i get now from a tank full[IMG]!
I'll take some pics and let you all know what it took to swap the tanks.

Duno really, I paid 200 for it & new straps. I will sell it with the new straps and I also have a new Oring for the sending unit seal. I was thinkin 100 bucks? I am gonna try and use my skidplate for the new tank but if it is not gonna work then I will sell the skid plate with the tank too! Duno if I mentioned in this thread but my current 21gallon tank is made out of polyethlane and is an exsact replica of the stock steel one GM used.

So it's the same volume tank as the original? I've never been able to get more then 16 gallons in mine and I didn't think the "gink" in it would have taken away 5 gal???

The price is within my threshold of pain if you got it to my door in Texas for $100, but that wouldn't leave you with much in your pocket... Maybe a good deal for the locals (in CA).

shiping will cost you no more than 30. i shiped one of my tanks out to PA from CA for 18 about 2yrs ago with UPS. It's just a rough estimate but it could be less.

Yup took it out this weekend! I have pics at home I will post um up tomorrow!
I have a 3yr old Polyethelane 21gal tank with new straps AND possably a SKID plate for it too!! I still need to verify weather or not the skid will still fit but I don't think it will fit under my new tank so when I verify that the skid will go with the tank......
