On my truck right now I've got stock exhaust manifolds that I'd like to replace with headers. My question is, which headers work best to clear all the clutch stuff and make it easy to route the passenger side pipe around the Tcase? Thanks in advance.

Got Dynomax ceramic coated ones! No clearance problems with the clutch stuff but no 1 and no 5 spark plugs are close!

I've used Mr. Gasket [IMG] and Flo-Tech. Both fit with some minor tweaking. The clutch linkage was no problem, but the collector is close to the front shackle.

I have Flowtech Afterburners. They say those are not supposed to wrok with manual trans, but there is plenty of clearance. I have had them on a 74 and an 83, both with the 465.

From my experience, I would not use the Flowtech's on the small blocks. They hit the shackle bolts on one side, can't remember which.

I got Hedman headers to replace those Flowtech's and they worked better. Lot more clearance around the shackle bolts and these headers I got were the longer tube types. Do not get the shorter Hedmans.

I've got Dynomax, only problem was passenger shackle bolt, sawzall and cutoff wheel solved that!! Mine is an automatic right now though (4 speed in garage, going in December '01).

#6 plug is a biotch, others are simple.
