I'm getting my boat lift installed and yesterday when I showed up, the guys that are putting the pilons in hit a rock. They said that most crews would have just pulled off the job and called in a drill team at $750 a hole:doah: .
Glad these guys were cool enough to jump in the water and pull this rock out!

Right were the pilon was going!

Now I have a nice landscape rock for the yard.
I gave them a big tip though $$$.
More pictures to come as the lift gets put in.
Man, I can't wait to bring my boat home to stay.

4-6 footers are better then 9-5 anyday.

Nice place. I didn't know they grew palm trees in Colorado. Those guys are tough to be going swimming this time of year.

farey sure that was what we call a joke.

you see dave's location shows CO, it would be cold in CO, so the guys would be cold in the water in CO, thus making it (not really) funny.

also I was using what is known as scarcasm

Trust me, most of Cali is the "butthole state". I speak from experience.

Keep talkin, that makes AZ the gooch. :rotfl:

Oh, Dave, I hope your boat lift lasts longer than ours did. Nine days after it was finished, a hurricane wiped out our dock. We never even used it once. :doah:

Sorry for not getting back to you guys. I had to pick up my boat and had a lot to deal with.
This cold front came in and I ended up with a sinus infection from being out on the water late.
Anyway, yes I have a house in Florida and thanks! it is really nice, I dig it.
I also have/live in Colorado but don't have the ranch anymore, just a little modular with a 2-car garage.
As for pictures of the Fl. place, you can click here - http://www.localschoice.net/sunsanity/
and I'll try to put some shots up also. My lift gets done today or tomorrow so I'll put those pics up too.

I own a plumbing & heating co. in the mountains.
The plumbing doesn't pay for everything though,
I got the places I have by being smart and investing/building real estate.
I even made money off my 1st place that was a mobile home :D .
The other thing that really helps me make money off of the houses is
being willing to work all week at my job and then all weekend on my house.
It will wear you out after a lifetime like it does me but it also gets me some
    pretty cool places  .

I need to learn to invest. I would like to do real estate myself, but I really dont think this is the place to start.

A couple years ago I was looking into buying a house and everyone told me it was dumb to buy a house you would only have for a couple years (military) unless I had done a lot of work to it. Funny thing, while I was up in Virginia, the property value skyrocketed and I could have made a nice chunk of money had I not listened to them. Oh well.
