just want some opinons of what you think of my latest creation.i got tired of trying to clean my axles and body off after a good day of bogging and wanted to lose some weight also.so off came most of the body.the cab is still there, but i cut about 5 feet from the cargo area.i welded the taillight bezels to what was left of the cab and used a pick-up tailgate to fill the gap between the two.cut 15" off the back of the frame, move the gas tank up into a "flatbed"i made.took the front clip off and fabbed up a hood and partial fenders, still need to some work up front.used part of the hardtop and a pick-up rear window to make a minnie removable top.going to built a cage from the back over the top down to the front as soon as i get some time.well the pics should speak for themselves.take a look and tell me what you think.here's my page look under K 4 1/2.thanks

/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif I like it. Hadn't thought of doing that. I do agree that caping the original tail light would be better. But, it is you set up, go with it. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I was just talking to another CK5er last night and he was talking about the same to his K5. Now that I've seen what it looks like I think it's pretty cool. Looks real functional too. Nice fabrication job.

yeh i think the taillights got to go also.it seemed cool at first but after it was done i think they need to go.i believe after a few blasts through the mud the taillights will be destroyed anyway.as for being street legal i don't think so,but i'll give it he!! until i get pulled over.thanks for the comments guys i appreciate it. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

i love what you did with the rear but i think you shoulda kept more if the front clip... taking that away just kills the whole appearance of the truck... it barely looks like a chevy now /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif.... other than that i like it
