well as I've been working on it for the past 5 or so months, I haven't had much to talk about till now, when I've started building it back up. So I think I'll keep you guys on a weekly update or something. Pics to come, same with progress!

It'll be DD but definately trail tough... I used to live in Idaho Falls, that's why the lisence plate. Color will be a dark gray with Metal flake in the paint. Should be ready to go in a month, and completely done in two. (Includes interior and paint etc...)

    Paint

With flames. Subtle flames. You gotta have flames on old iron IMHO.

actually, yes... I forgot to mention. I have all these things in blue (engine, shock boots, etc...) and I plan on getting a ghost flame about 4 inches in height traveling from the front of my front fender to the back of my cab...
it wouldn't stand out huge, but it'd be transperant kind of, so it'd look pretty sweet.

Right on man, ive owned 2 of them old trucks so far, both 52s, and one had a sub frame, both 2wd. The other had the 235 motor. Those old trucks are sweet, everything looks really good, keep up the good work man. :thumb:

Damn! Them's some BIG pics! :eek1: :haha:

I absolutely LOVE the old trucks! They are awesome! What you have is awesome. I'm wanting to build something along the same lines as you are. I've got a '78 SWB chassis I'm going to build with 1 ton running gear, 8" front and rear springs and hopefully 39.5" Boggers. I'm still on the hunt for a true '57 big back window short stepside truck. I want it to look like the ORU Big Bird. :waytogo: :saweet:

Slightly ot here,,,, but you know the cowl ? I always wanted to make that into a real working cowl, where it forces air into the motor, instead of directing it into the cab :D

my engine guy bought the distributor. No idea where, but he got discounts on just about everything so we had him do it all. As far as the cowl goes, I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna weld it up. I've got A/C so I don't need the air flow, and if I changed it to pump air into the engine, I don't think it'd make enough difference to be worth it. If you look close enough, you can see I have plenty of room to go up with my engine, so I'm pretty sure as soon as I get the money, I'm supercharging the 383 Stroker. :D
