Well after some really funny noises coming out from the hood my alt froze on me in rush hour traffic. Now if it was a ford it would have just blocked traffic and sat there. Not my Chevy though, it had enough balls to fire up one last time with the alt belt fused to the alt and move out of its own way. A new alt and belt and I was on my way.

AAAhhhh Christ a IFS Blazer, jeez its stock too, does it get any worse??? Could be a ford.

If I may add my alternator story.:o)
I had a 93 ex cab pickup and drove from Reno Nevada to Monterey California. It made a strange noise the entire way to Monterey but stuck it out. The altinator froze but it didnt die on me untill I had just pulled up into the parking lot of my hotel.
We walked to the parts store down the street, put in another and off we went. My Chevy has never left me stranded. None of them. :o)
