anyone using aluminum pucks for a body lift?? I was thinking of making my own by cutting up a "1 inch think long alum block. I am considering alum cause it's easier to cut. Of course I would put in rubber/poly mounts aswell.

Hey arq,if I was Steve Chin I'd be talking about sheer coeficiants of aluminum, possible micro compression factors and the chance of nucleo-reactant forming when rubber and aluminum are combined in roughly a plus1.8735 inch per square dielectrics of pressure.
As for my opinion goes...huh...I drink Coke out of aluminum cans. That's about the only opinion I can offer, sorry.

    LOL,
you mean I can power my blazer if I do this, aswell. Maybe I can sell the power to california for some cash or create enough of a static charge to sap someone. LOL...

I think ORD uses 6061-T6 aluminum for their pucks. I found this place in san diego that sells all kinds of metals. I'm just metal happy.

A few weeks ago I picked(free) up a 3/8 steel slab to make a bracket for a YORK compressor. Got it all cut up and drilled I just need to weld it together.

    ARQ,

I am running the ORD 6061-T6 one inch pucks with the Poly mounts. So far I like them. I have had no problems with them at all. Hope I helped.

    See Ya,
    Keith
