ok ive been pricing out a lift for a while now and i finally have some cash to get one. i totalled it out to be around $400 tops. 219.95 for tc ez ride 6inch spring from the suspension conection, $93.64 for an echobit shackle flip and 49.32 for an echobit zero rate since im going to reuse my stock rear springs which are startin to sag. what else to i need to factor in since im only goin 6 inches and am only plannin on 35's till i get my 1 ton axles done. also how will my stock 10 bolts hole up and what gears should i put in them. i am mostly into mud bogs and trail driving which isnt to intense so i dont think ill be braking to axle shaft. if anybdy has any thing to add please do cause i want to do the lift right the first time.

Also longer shocks and some type of swaybar drop, if you don't take it off completely.

Steering brace and weld in bracket if you don't already have it. With 35s you stand a better chance of cracking the frame at the steering box than with smaller tires.

i pretty much figured i would need a raised the steering arm and extended brake lines. whats a good shock to use and were can i find a sway bar drop or would i have to make one. also how different would it drive if i were to remove the sway bar? would it feel more tipsy while cornering or hard braking?

Don't put any money into your 10 bolts. Find some used ones with the gears you want, would probably cost less and last til you get the 1 tons you want.

i have a 14bff already that only needs an open carrier and gears. i also have my eye on a d60 thats in an 80's 1 ton chevy pickup. what gears came in 10 bolts? im think i would need 4:10 or shorter with 35's or am i mistaken?

4.10's would be OK for the meantime with 10 bolts...but look to 4.56 or deeper when you go one ton. The 700R-4 will keep your revs reasonable and the deeper gears will let the engine work well down low where you need it.

At the very least get a spare rear shaft. May its just good luck, but people who have spare shafts don't seem to break them. If you are going to spend $$$ to regear the 10B go at least 4.56- if you have O/D go lower.
