am i taking steering wheel of right?

    so i take of the horn cap, pull the nut and the three litte screws out along with that plate and all that crap..and then bang gengtly on the steering column bolt and have another person pull the steering wheel of..does this sound right..

    First suggestion get a puller.

    But, what you're doing should work. Just put the nut back on so you don't flatten the bolt out or mess up the threads.

    whats that..something to pull it out with..and how hard is it to put one back on?

    Back when I was a teenager I put a Grant steering wheel on. I took off the stock wheel by beating the hell out of it with a hammer. Don't do it!! Rent a steering wheel puller at an auto motive shop. It's alot easier and it won't cause any harm!

    a steering wheel puller at napa cost 20 bucks and you wont mess up you steering colum using it.

    oh ok..cuase im trying to get it of for muddytaz he is buying it of me..its coming out of my parts blazer so it really doesnt matter if i did mess up te steering column...but again that could be a good part so i dont want to mess that up or the steering wheel of course..

    Puller at autozone= FREE
    Go back on=EASY! Just tighten bolt!!!!
