......who actually looks forward to puking when I have the flu?:doah:

It's amazing how something as unenjoyable as vomiting can actually make you feel better in the long run.

    That is all.

I do. Would rather throw up for a few mins than sit there for hours being nauseated(sp?)...

I do look forward to the puke, just to get it all out and get it over with, but I cannot do the old finger down the throat, I just have to lean over the toilet and concentrate. But with a bad flu, right when I realize the puke is coming is when I realize that I have limited bowel control.:eek1: :haha:

Last night, after 4 hours of patiently waiting for my body to initiate things, I was forced to take matters into my own hands(no pun intended) and send Mr. Finger to visit Mr. Throat. Sad times sometimes call for drastic measures.

On a lighter note, I am amazed at how resilient corn is......

This one hit me like a freight train about 4 PM yesterday. I was fine, and then BOOM!!!! I just BARELY made it through my workday. Lucky for the family, I'm home by myself for a couple of days- Kim's working and the kids are at grandma's.

Anyhow, I slept almost 12 hours last night. I had to get up a couple of times and change my t-shirt, because I was sweating like crazy. However, I feel a lot better today, although my body is really achy, and I have no appetite at all.

    Anti-nausea medicine...

My friends dad was very sick with cancer a few years ago,and he tried all the pills they could give him for anti-nausea,during his chemo therapy...none of them helped much, even the "Marinol" pills that have the main ingredient of Marijuana in it (THC)...but he found if he smoked a joint,he rarely vomited, and didn't feel nauseous!..his doctor said while he couldn't reccomend using an illegal substance,he did agree if it worked for him,he should keep using it!..he is now cancer free, but still likes to "light up" now and then!..:p: ..he also gained 25 lbs, after losing 40 lbs during his illness!..

So Paul--now that your home all alone..PUFF the Magic Dragon!!....:haha: .and feel better fast!...:D

There seems to be several "bugs" going around the past few weeks..my sister called and said she's been sick since last week with the worst sore throat and cough she's ever had--even went to the doctor and had to get antibiotics!...when all the kids go back to scholl, better brace yourself for a barrage of germs..happens EVERY year...:doah: :(

I hate puking, but it almost always makes me feel better right afterwards, and is a sign of getting over the sickness.

I hate the puking but I will gladly endure it rather than feel nausious. The Koolaid trick sounds good but if I did that I would never be able to drink Koolaid agian.

I'll do the ol' "finger down the throat like an anorexic supermodel" trick anytime I need to puke.. and yes, I feel much better afterwards.. I hate sitting around waiting for it.. I learned the trick when I used to drink real heavy.. I'd drink 'till I was sick, go barf, and keep drinking..

    Second that.

Learning to puke on demand is a valuable skill set, I highly recommend it. You can either swish the finger around the back of your throat, stick your tongue way out till you gag, or think of something nasty crawling around in your stomach. Maggots usually does the trick. :D

Last time I was really sick I had just eaten a huge plate of BBQ from my favorite local place, and proceeded to blow huge smoky/spicy chunks an hour after eating it.

Couldn't eat there again until over three months later.
