Yup. I hate those kinds of people!! /forums/images/icons/mad.gif I don't care what it is, if it's not yours and you use/borrow it...make sure it is in as good if not BETTER condition than when you got it!!

When I would borrow my friend's truck, I always brought it back with a full tank of gas, and usely ran it through the car wash. That way I never had a problem if I needed to use it again. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

That's what I mean!! I'm responsible for something, and I've worked my kahunas off making it a well-oiled machine, and now it's getting mucked with and twisted and turned and done wrong, and I'M POWERLESS TO STOP IT!!!! And, I'm the one who's going to have the mess left over to contend with...

It's not someone borrowing something, although that irks me too. It's someone saying, "This is how you've done it, you've worked hard to do it that way and change it to make it work with the new way we'll do it. But we're going to drop the ball a few times and do a few things without asking what your setup is or thinking that it might be relevant, and muck up as much as possible..."

I gotta go for a walk!

I've got that problem at work - I always make sure the rig is clean, fueled and stocked for the oncoming crews, NEVER have I been lucky enough to not have to give it the full treatment in the mornings.

When I worked for a certain large, unnamed ambulance company in the SOUTHWEST, I learned never to trust the previous night's driver on their having done anything - took off on a call and got there to find we had no stretcher. Just a repair order that had been filled out in my name, with the apparent rationale that I would deal with it. Thank God it was a BS call with no transport involved, and the idiot was still in quarters when we got back /forums/images/icons/mad.gif

It got really close there for a minute /forums/images/icons/grin.gif - Then the duty officer stepped in and stopped it (I couldn't bear hitting "he who holds the paychecks") /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Well yesterday I was giving one of my co-workers a hard time about not maintaining their equipment. Then low and behold I go in today and break the blade right off of my dozer. Looks like it's gonna be around 5k to fix it plus the down time. Boy when I break stuff I do a good job.
