Is it possible to have a driveshaft backwards? I mean does it matter(rear) which end goes to the tcase and 14bolt?

normally you want the splines of the driveshaft at the tcase, it does not allow as much mud and dirt in the splines.

I spoke to Jesse (HAD) about this when he made mine, he said it didnt matter on a non CV shaft, some guys run the splined end at the rear to gain more clearance but mud and water getting in the splines is the problem. He recommended the splines at the front unless rock clearance was the only concern and spline life didnt matter.

I agree,i was just stating that he maybe saw a shaft reversed with a CV....I run my slip at the bottom, don't care about carnage....brings a big smile... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
