Another 205 ?

    I order a raptor 700r4 with advanced adaptor's tailshaft for the 205, when looking for a 205 what do i need to look for, 350 verson or 400, What other parts do I need?

    You need the 350 27 spline version and you need the TH350/NP205 adapter and drivesleeve (only source I have found for those is GM $$).

    What do I do for the crossmember. Make on, Use the one for the 208, or one for the 205

    Leadfoot gave you the info. you needed on the 205 and you need to get a crossmember for a 205. I may have a extra for ya. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

    A 205 crossmember from a pre 84/85ish (not sure when the double hump style was implemented). I believe a 203 crossmember will work too, but not sure (Maybe somebody could verify it). I just replaced the mounts on my 78 with 203 and the crossmember looks similar (if not identical) to the 80 with 205. I don't want to say they are the same if they are not, but they look close. /forums/images/icons/confused.gif

    '85 started the 'double hump' crossmembers. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

    ANY '84 and older 'flat' style crossmember will work just fine for other tranny and t-case combo's. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
