Well I have another incident for anyone's enjoyment. I drive a tow truck on the weekends and I just got back from a tow. It just happened to be a 99 Wrangler, stock height, 30" all-terrains with that shiny tire dressing that car washes put on, a brand new ARB bumper in front and back, a brand new Warn 9.5ti in the front bumper and spit-polished to the hilt.

So I back up to the thing, get out of the truck and start to lower my bed when the owner asks me if there is anyway possible we can do this "without scratching my bumper". I just assure him that I will be very careful. I asked him if he took it off road much and he told me not very much just to go to the shooting range now and then. I don't understand.:dunno:

Was the winch even wired up? And what was the reason you had to tow it?

I'm not sure, it did have the cable in it. He told me that the shop that had replaced his shocks had failed to hook his oil cooler lines back in the proper place and they had been rubbing on the tire for the last 30 to 50 miles. He had a pretty good size puddle under it when I got there. I asked him if he had noticed his oil pressure dropping and he told me he doesn't look at his gauges that often. Hmm.
