    ANOTHER, \"IS THIS A GOOD DEAL?\" POST

I have a chance to buy a Dana 60 housing with the ring and pinion in it, but nothing else comes with it. The owner thinks it has 4.56 gears in, but he's never had the cover off of it. It was given to him by a family member. He only wants $100 for it. Is this a good deal? And about how much would it cost for the axles, hubs, and all of the brakes and bearings. I already know that if I get it, I'll be getting the ORD 35 spline outter shafts and lockouts for it. /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif

nuy it. That way you can build it up with really strong aftermarket parts. They you will know its done right and it probably wont ever break unless you wheel REALLY hard.

thanks guys!! I thought this was a good buy, just wanted some second opinions. I'll give an update as to what gears it has, and what shape it's in. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif the bad part is, i can't get it until i get some insurance money from an accident i was in a few weeks ago. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif but the owner is willing to wait. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    P.S.
I went to ORD's website, and figured up some of the stuff to build it. so far i'm at $869, with out hubs and rotors and spindles. hopefully some of you on here will have some of this stuff setting around used that you would be willing to part with for a lot lower price. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
