I don't know. I notice the barn first (of course) but then the tree catches my eye also.

    I like it

How did you trace out the barn, etc? I've noticed that on your Photoshop stuff the stuff that you change color looks really good and well-traced. Does your Photoshop 2.0 have a magic wand tool?

You can just desaturate the whole thing and hand colour whatever you want with a multiply layer

i use the magic wand tool alot and the trace tool. the pictures i take are REALLY high resolution, so i can zoom in really close and then any error in the tracing becomes negligable. when i use the trace tool, i often use the straight line function and approximate curves with straight lines.

that's what i did for this one. in addition, after i selected the surface, i removed the color from the background and then increased the saturation significantly on the tree and the barn so that they'd be such strong colors. i'll post up the original photo in a second...

Try it without enhancing the colors. I don't dig the GLARING BRIGHT FUNKY RED AND GREEN thing. ;)
