I know that this question has been asked before. But hears mine...

I park my 83 K5 in my driveway with the front facing down hill. Its on a slope and when I start it up I let it run for 2-3 min to warm up. Then Apply the breaks, Pull the E Break, and Slowly put it into 3rd. Once I take my foot off the break and start to cost down hill. The first 6 inches POP. Something really SNAPS. But that's the only time that it occurs and its not all of the time. Once in a while it happens. Could it be the TRANY and TORCH conv. slipping ur something... PS. It is the factory Trany. No work done to it but routine oil and filter change.

Do you have a locker in the rear?

When was the last time you checked your wheel bearings?

Might be your brake shoes realeasing from the brake drums,or U joint's...Mine does the same every once in awhile if I park in the driveway.

96c491k5, I have a Posi in the rear. and the front bearings where changed about 1.5yrs ago (less than 10k miles ago) and Manual Hubs where done not that far after that...Could be the front U joints on the shafts.

Eric, The front shoes where changed 1yr ago not that many miles but thats an Idea, I haven't done the rear. But I plan on doing the 14 FF Swap so I don't want to do a major overhall on the rear...
But I should check the diffs for water hhhmmmmmm.

What gear ratio do you need for your 14FF? I have an open with 3.73s.
