Well, my dog tree'd another animal. This time it was a good one, I'm just glad he didnt get hurt, crazy ****er. he usually chases rats and coyotes, some bobcats, but not this time! It was in the brush and before you know it, it was up in the tree!!
These two were face to face on the same tree limb about 2.5 feet from each other. Clyde's (my dog) summer weight is about 110-112 and this guy was easily twice that.

    My dog and its 'friend':

That bear looks like he's ready to get someone for chasing him into the tree. At least your dog didn't get hurt.

Actually he was REALLY mellow. It didnt seem to want to come down anymore than we wanted him to, at least thats the way it seemed. He was just kind of looking around at everything, mainly my dog as if to say "shut up and let me down".

Luckily it was a male, if it would have been a female with cubs close by, it would have been a different story.

I called my dog off and we walked down and the bear came down and ran up into the brush again.

He had tree'd something else a few weeks prior when we up on the hill. But it was about 10:30 at night and we couldnt see anything. We assumed a bear or bobcat, but couldnt be sure. Well, after this, I dont doubt that it was another bear.

Like you said, glad he didnt get hurt, one swipe from a bear and thats bad news.
