my dad has this motarolla antenna spring mount on the side of his cab on his truck and he just got this antenna for it...its really tall probobly like 7'4 or something but its tall! and hes got it on the mount now. the mount is older and so is the antenna i was just wondering if any one new anything about these..i would get pics up but my other computer broke...is there any dangers to running a antenna this tall? it springs back and forth really well and its not that heavy..it just screws right into the mount..

I used to have one like that on my Toyota Landcruiser. I hade to put a racket ball on it to keep it from slapping the side. It worked well though.

well my bumper mount doesnt hit pwr lines, and your truck is lower than mine. Also, atleast around here, any that are low enough are insulated so they wont give u a jolt. Ive thwacked one but it had a limb on it so it was hangin lower than normal and nothin bad happened.
