Clints a good ol boy. I like his stuff. Havent heard much from him in a while though. Somebody sent me a care package recently with a copy of "Cadillac Jack" in it. It was a good movie, but not as much rodeo action as I had hoped.
Sorry, talkin bout Clint made me think of that.

Ya know, I just realized. I dont own any of his cd's. Maybe it's time I order one or two.

Hmmm...I went to a concert today too!

I just got home from a Patty Loveless concert!...she is awesome too--saw her a month ago in CT at a casino real close up--and today's concert was an outdoor show under the pines next to a lake--she did more of her "bluegrass" songs than her usual "rockin" show with all her hits from the radio...but she almost never signs any autographs or meets with fans,a bit dissapointing for me,because I have been spoiled by many other artists--

my other favorites are Kathy Mattea,Rhonda Vincent,Suzy Bogguss,Pam Tillis,Patty Loveless,Holly Dunn, and too many others to list! I've met many others at other concerts and at Fan Fair in Nashville during the 90's..most all were very nice to talk to,and very fan friendly..one of the biggest reasons I love country and bluegrass music-not only is it great music, its performed by very talented, and very human, caring people, who dont only think of money and nothing else..

Kathy,Suzy and Rhonda have been very kind to me over the years--Rhonda even gave me a car when she heard I was out of work, having difficulty caring for my elderly mother, and was driving an old heap to her concerts!..It was the biggest suprise of my life, and I'll never forget her kindness...Poor Rhonda is home recouperating from an operation to remove 30% of her large intestine!..she fell ill a few weeks ago while on tour, and had to be rushed to a hospital twice in different states, before they diagnosed her problem!..I'm praying she will recover fully and quickly!.. :(

I've been going to her shows for 15 years now,and have only gotten to meet
Patty Loveless twice, after 15+ shows!....but some performers dont feel comfortable meeting strangers,so I cant say I blame her--she IS shy offstage, and I have heard more than once she's had problems with stalkers and a few threats,so I guess its not her fault..too bad she doesn't do a meet and greet after shows,it is my favorite part of a concert to be able to meet the artist...

I have only seen Clint Black once many years ago--1994 I think--he was on tour with Wynonna(The Black and Wy Tour!)...his "Killing Time" cd was just released about the same time as I saw him in concert...I liked a lot of his songs, especially when he did the duet with Wynonna " A Bad Goodbye"...they brought the house down with that one!...

I like pretty much all of his songs, but I haven't bought any of his cd's,because I could hear him on the radio quite often.. I think he's much more talented than many of the so called "counrtry" acts they are shoving down our throats nowadays...I kinda miss hearing all the good artists that were popular 10 years ago--I feel they stop playing them too soon,in favor of the newer acts...

Clint had real potential, that must be why we don't hear him anymore...

Funny about the Patty Loveless comment, I was listening to "Lonely Too Long" as I read that...

I may be going to see Hank Jr in a few weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW Diesel, how is Rhonda doing? Any word?

That's a name I haven't heard in like 15 years. What has she been up too? I always thought she was one of the prettiest women in country back in the early 90's.

I saw Clint Black when I was in college about 10 years ago. I thought he was great. I was in flight school at the time and actually was at the airport when he flew in. He was very friendly and personable. Seemed like just a regular guy. He is one of the few "new" Country music singers that is worth a flip. Most of them are absolutely horrible. Very few today can compare with Waylon, Willie, George, or Merle. :(

He can act too. He was one of the riverboat gamblers in the Maverick movie. I have been listening to him for aboput 20 years now, and he still sounds as good as ever.

    Rhonda and Holly...

Mr.Clean--Rhonda was sent home last friday to recouperate from her surgurey..she is doing as well as can be expected after such a major surgurey...she came very close to having a colostomy bag,had she lost any more of her large intestine than they had to remove, she would have had one,but they feel she should recover fully and not need one...I'm still praying for her!..

--Burb Lover--I was a big fan of Holly Dunn also!--I met her many times, went to a few fan club parties of hers in the 90's during Fan Fair week, and got to see her after her concerts many times..I probably went to at least a dozen of her concerts, probably more!...I agree she is very attractive!--If I knew how to post pictures here,I could show you many of me with Holly, and many other of my favorite artists...

Holly quit the music buissiness around 1998--she became a DJ at a detroit country music station, but only stayed about a year..she then moved to New Mexico, and was the director of an art museum in Sante Fe for about 1-1/2 years...she then relocated to Temple Texas, not sure what she did for work there...I talked to her former fiddle player Deanie Richardson at Patty Loveless concert yesterday,(she is in Patty's band now)--she said Holly is moving back to New Mexico again!--but does not know her plans as far as employment...

I heard some fans saw Holly at a Denver art show not long ago, selling some paintings she did,but told them she will not be returning to the music bussiness--a shame, because I thought she was very talented!..she has a degree in broadcasting, and went to college for TV broadcasting,so you might see her doing the 6 o'clock news someday!...I miss Holly a lot,she was a nice lady, and good to her fans!..She has a website, where she sells some cd's and paintings, but not much on there about her,or what she's up too now..

Another pair of fine looking women singers are "The Sweethearts Of The Rodeo"--met them many times, and was in their fan club for many years--they are sisters, one was married to Vince Gill(Janis Gill, now Janice Cummings, she re-married after getting divorced from Vince in 2000!)--and her sister Kristine Arnold--they really were "sweethearts" too, very nice to talk with (and look at!)..sadly,they disbanded a few years ago too,I hear rumors about them getting together again, but nothing so far--Janis moved to Hawaii.so I kind of doubt we'll see them performing any more.. :(
