I was down at 4 Wheel Parts (Yes I hate them too) picking up my 79 Ford pitman arm, and u-bolt/stud kit. I was beifly talking to the guy at the counter and he said that it is better to swap in a 2WD shaft in a 4WD box because the box is stronger. I found it very hard to believe that Saginaw woul dmake 2 different boxes because one was for a 2WD and one was for a 4WD. That would cost more money then just all running the same box and switching the shafts. Anyone know if what he said is true? Thanks

*DICLAIMER* Do not get mad at me if you work at 4 Wheel Parts or happen to like the store. However the 2 stores near me employ people who dont know anything about what they are selling and and not very bright.

Out of the couple I have taken apart and seen taken apart the sector shaft is the only difference.
