    Hey AZ peeps,

Any good mechanics in the PHX area who know k5's well? I've been going to my local Firestone for most stuff I can't/won't do myself, but they recently decided to give me one up the ol' pooper.

So I'm looking for a good, trustworthy dude who does great work at a fair price. Any leads (or any of you in the biz)?

    Recommend your favorites...

    THANKS!

Before I started doing all my own work I used to use a guy who my dad was friends with. He always did good work for my K5 and all our other family vehicles.

Don Urton's Garage is the name of the place. Don is the owner (father) and his 2 sons are his mechanics. They don't always do the fastest work but it has always been good work for me.

They only work on domestic cars FYI if that matters at all.

They are located on 43rd Ave just north of Osborn Rd.

I think the shop is called truck and van specialists. It is on 59th ave just south of camelback. The # is 623-931-2345. Ask for willie. He pretty much does just older rigs. Or Astro Auto at 19th ave south of glendale. 602-242-4040 ask for eric.

DRS, what do you need done? I work full time at a aamco at cave creek and cactus and i do tons of side jobs here at the house for friends/neighbors/and the like.. I dont charge $75 a hour like most shops do either.. I have good reputable references if you need some, and im pretty booked up right now. but in a week or so i should be freed up a bit... Let me know at 480-209-2949.. Nate

    Thanks all...

I guess I'm just looking for some numbers to have in my back pocket for that inevitable time when I won't be able to fix it on my own!

Thanks to all - Nate, I'll be in touch probably in the next few weeks.
