    so i used to be a rock and roll tour manager, and one of the guitarists, for one of the bands i used to roll, is endorsed by washburn. he sent this to my son for christmas!! signed! sweet score for my boy. so does anyone play? is this a good guitar?my sons just starting to play. is this too advanced a guitar for now? hes 13. thanks. eric

    Washburn has entry level cheaper gear right up to top shelf stuff. I have played a few of their cheaper basses and was surprised at the quality...for like a $299.00 instrument it played and sounded good. As with most anything, you get what you pay for so that N4 looks like a solid piece of overkill.

    I would not recommend a whammy bar for a beginner. You want something w/ a solid bridge, way less headaches. Once he has some experience and can get a handle on the maintenance and setup of running a floyd rose system then that guitar will be a killer. I have seen some guys that out grow the whole whammy bar scene block the bridge off from inside the rear access cover and then tape the springs to keep them from resonating.




    So did you tour with Extreme/Nuno or Meatloaf?
