I am wondering how much a stock 85 blazer weighs:confused: , I might look at one in new york and would love to just trailer it home to detroit.

Probably around 5000-5500. I dunno. My 87 weighed 5220, but that was with no top, stripped interior, no gas, no passenger, 37's, 1 ton rear etc.

My 89 weighs in at 5880 with a full tank of gas and 1 ton axles with 35's. If it is stock i would say around 5200 lbs or so.

I wouldn't trust most of the info on that page, especially the weight piece of it.

Mine weighed ~4600 with no top and a stripped interior when it was still on 1/2 tons.

It now weighs 5070. Both of these weights were taken with ~1/2 tank of gas and otherwise pretty empty. Trail ready I am probably more like 5500.

through my old job, i knew a scrapyard guy who let me weigh mine on their scale. stripped interior, 10bolt front/rear, 31s on steel, 350/700/208. full tank, each time.

    (unloaded, no passengers)
    top on~ nearly 4800
    topless~ about 4500
topless, after a full day of mudding~ over 4600 (yeah, that's a lot of mud inside, underneath, everywhere.)

yeah...i wouldnt trust that either. All of the numbers seem low. And it also doesnt say what options the truck had...ex: whether it was the elusive v-6, gas v-8, or heavier 6.2......whether it had the optional 31's or smaller tires, interior options, running boards, sliding rear windows....etc

True...but I didn't see the original poster say "Hey, I checked the weights on that "specs" page...is that right?"

...There's a lot of info already on this site that people ask about. I was just trying to help :thumb:
