Any ideas how to do a 3\" body lift w/9\" suspension?

Do you guys have any ideas on how to lift the body from the frame when I go and put my 3" body lift on? I have a 9" suspension lift already on it. I don't have a clue what I'll be able to do to get it off the frame. There isn't a floor jack that's going to reach the floor of the truck. Any suggestions? I thought about using our chain hoist and hooking up sides of the truck and doing it like that, but I'm not sure where to hook the chains to. I'm stumped boys!

I used a floor 2 1/2 ton jack and a 4x4 piece of wood on each side and had no problems. What kind of drive shafts and steering problems are you having with the 9" lift? If none, what did you do!!!

Why don't you take the tires/wheels off and lift it like that? Or put some stock wheels and tires while you lift the body?

I put cement blocks under my floor jack and a small 4"x4" to lift the body. I first tried the floor jack and a 3 foot 4"x4" but it got a lil shakey.

I'm not having any driveline problems or steering problems. I used shims cut at a 6 degree angle, t-case drop, and lengthened drive shafts. The front axle has a 2.5 degree shim and works fine. I haven't had a problem with them yet. The steering was simple. 2" drop draglink, 2" pitman arm, and 4" steering arm. Works like a charm!

Where'd you get the shims for the axles?

    Thanks,

You can get them from ORD I think and the ones that I have now are from Superlift. Call one of the mail order places and I'm sure they can hook you up.
