The 64 Impala is a classic. I hate to see it when someone makes a lowrider out of one. Even worse is if they put hydrolics on it. /forums/images/icons/mad.gif What's yours got under the hood ??? I've always wanted a 64 Impala SS with a 409 / 4 speed. /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

yea i know i cant stand that..well mines nothing speacial..its not a SS /forums/images/icons/frown.gif ..its just the 2 door hardtop..its got the 283 in it..origianlly it had the 2 speed power glide tranny, but my dad put in a 4 speed with a hurse shifter out of an elcomeno SS...so that mad things a little cooler lol.. /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif .we are getting it repainted now...fun car to drive/look at!

283s rap out real quickly, not alot of torque, but still a good motor to have. Is that 283 the large jurnal version on the crankshaft ??? If so, all's you'd need is a 327's block to build a Chevy 302. Same as Chevy did in the 69 Z-28 Camaro's. Very BAD A$$ motor !!!! /forums/images/icons/grin.gif /forums/images/icons/grin.gif /forums/images/icons/grin.gif
