I used to make resolutions when I was a kid, then didn't bother as I got older cause I didn't see any difference in anything except the number I write in the year spot on checks.

Now I'd like to hit some goals, so I'm going to grab any excuse to motivate...

    So my resolutions are:

    1. Finish assembling the lower-body workout equipment on my home gym
    2. Work out regularly with a goal of improved physical fitness and belly elimination. Maybe 2008's res can be to become buff.
    3. Buy or build a shed for motorcycles and equipment.
    4. Camp at least 5 times this summer
    5. Structure and adjust my "get off Long Island in 2 years" plan.
    6. Learn my job better so I can have more options

What are you guys shooting for?

To be less negative. I can be very critical, negative and sarcastic...none of which serve any good in my life.

    - Stick to and follow The Can Can weight loss plan and not want to punch him in the face later for making the plan :D

    - Hit the weights again and maybe get back into the same physical condition I was in when I played football.

    - Actually put some money in my truck so it doesnt fall apart.

    - Save money.

    LOL...true enough.

It's been a goal of mine for a long time and something I've tried to work on. It's pretty hard to change a major part of your personality though. I do know i'm least happy when i've not kept the negativity in check though...which tells me a good part of my own well being is tied into my perceptions of the world around me. Mostly though, I'm seeing the same negative traits in my oldest daughter...and recognize where they come from. I hope to be able to show her a better example in the future.

You might as well try to take the letter "E" out of the English Alphabet. Those are mutually exclusive. You can do one or the other.
