That's not much new news!!!! If I understand correctly, ORD already makes a doubler for the 465!!! The way they build them, All you need is a 203 to mate! Maybe he's working on a short 32 spline output shaft!!!! Tried that once, was too expensive! I don't know, seems hard to believe that much will be different! Althought, It would be awsome to use a 35 output of 420, and mate it with a "New 35 spline input gear for the 203!!!!! Just some ideas I've already thought of, just never had the funds!

He made one in the old Gen 1 doubler, he does not make one in the Gen II that will bolt up to the 10 spline 465.

I thought all you needed was a 10 spline 203 and adapter!? I sold mine a while back and opted to go with the 32 spline, now I have all I need! And its' 30+ all the way to the wheels! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Stephen, come on, give us the skinny. Are you still working on this or do we need to look at other options?

3-4 weeks leadtime on the 32 spline 465 shaft that will work with the factory adapter housing. 32 spline input is a bolt in for the NP203, the gear is about $165.00. The 465 output shaft will be approx. $240.00. If you're interested, get an order in now for the shaft, I'm really not sure how popular it's going to be.

The next step is building our own adapter housing which will be shorter than the factory housing by at least an inch. A complete kit with new adapter and shaft will likely run $550 or so.

There you go. Now we can do 32 spline all the way through on a 465 AND with a reasonable length adapter housing.

O.k. let me see if I can get this straight. You can take any Sm465 2 or 4 wd and you have a new 32 spline main shaft for it.

Then you take an 203 range box and put in a female 32 spline input gear.

This is for use with the factory SM465 to NP203 adapter, and you are going to build your own SM465 to NP203 adapter that will be shorter. The new main shaft (32 spline) and the new adapter will run around $550.00, then you need the 32 spline input gear for the 203, a 203 reduction box and the doubler kit, plus a th400 np205, or have the 205 you have modified to take the th400 input gear and bearing.

    Is all that right?

    Thanks

I don't know about around you guys, but 203 range boxes here are plentiful with 32 splines!!!!! I picked up my 203, 32 spline for $150! Are they rare or something? I don't know this part!

    You've got it dep, that's the recipe for a 32 spline SM465/203/Doubler Kit/205.

this sounds like a great addition to your lineup.
the 10 spline mainshafts are usually worn out so I think there is a market even if it can be made to mate a 32 spline 205
