I wanna move my taigate up to the rear of the rear spring hangers, relocate the fuel tank, and cut the frame off just behind the spring hanger.I would just remove a section of the bed and then weld it back up.But what about a top?I thought about shortening the top but I dont know what I would do about glass for it.Ive thought about a soft top but can you get them in custom legnths?Ive seen Toys like this but never a full size.

I saw a post where Laketex was talkin about it but diddnt have any pics.I think the soft top would be the way too go and I could use a tailgate off a truck since I wouldnt need the rear window.I can afford a fuel cell but it will take a while for the top.The only thing that was making not think seriously about this was the top problem .Thanks for the help guys.

I'll have pics of mine up on monday

You can shorten your hardtop easy from what everyone has told me. I was going to go this route but then decided to cut my half cab off so I just sold the hardtop. What you do is this. Cut it right down the middle and shorten it however much you did your bob. Then chamfer the edges with a sander and fiberglass it back together on a very level surface. Do the inside and the outside. You should be able to sand it out then and make it look decent. Then cut your window track (the metal part that surrounds it) to fit. Then use sliding glass windows and they just wont open as far as they used to. No problemo!!!

I also sent you a pm on my proceedure. I'll have pics up pronto although my cell is still being made [IMG]
