Any one here running Rod type (mechanical) clutch linkage?

    Putting in the pedals today and need to know where to cut the hole in the truck for the rod to pass down to the Z-bar. thanks. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Install the z-bar, make a mark on the firewall right in front of it, ceter punch it and drill a hole. cut a 1" x 2" hole with the starting hole in the center.

    I put a mechnical clutch sm465 in a 1973 auto cab.

    There was an indentation right where it needed to go.

    Get a hole saw and get after it.

    You should use the stock rubber boots to cover the hole or it will let in a lot of noise...and smells. Take my word for it /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

    His truck is designed for the hydraulic clutch assembly, no indentation in the floor.
