cool beans. :) its very nice when more pay rolls in. My wife recently doubled her take home pay and got better benes at the same time. Really makes a difference in the ol' bank account. Now I just need to try to save some instead of blowing it all on the truggy.

good luck with the car... we expect lots of pics. :)

Not really in the rat rod category but I am going to get another VW Fasty and make a volksrod.:D As soon as I find a suitable shell I plan on giving it a 3-4" chop. Suicide doors. Drop the front pretty low. Of course it will be painted Blitz Black and red rims to finish the look. I figure that will piss of some of the VW purists down here. :haha:

That looks like it would be allot of fun. You do relies that the pancake 6 and tranny from a Porsche will swap into a VW bug very easily. HHhhmmm, I do believe there are a ton of performance goodies for the Porsche pancake 6 too. Now that's a idea.

Yes something like that. I've always wanted to build a bug like that, or more like this.

But I plan on building a fasty kind of like this, but with the black and red scheme.

Kind of like a Karmann Ghia. That yellow car is a Type III Fastback. Which is just like the Squareback wagons, and notchbacks. It originally looked something like this:

    and here is a notch:

Fasty's are kind of like the redheaded step children of the VW world. Everyones got bugs of vans. But you dont really see alot of nice type 3s.

Well, if ya want help, you know I live in the same town you do! :D

Personally I always wanted to get a late 30's to early 50's land yacht and slam it to the ground, chop the top, 500 Caddy, etc.
