High school Gym teacher and local real estate man named Leonard Skinner.

Any REAL fan know the name of the band after the plane crash, before they got back together as Lynyrd Skynyrd. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

    Re: any skynard fans?

    Dang close.

Rossington-Collins band. Made up of Gary Rossington and Alan Collins and a few others. I THINK it was Gary's wife that sings lead for the band. The Album has a pheonix coming up outta the fire. Pretty inspirational.

Now that they are Lynyrd Skynyrd again, with Jonny at the helm, things are just a little different. Ronnie (LS) and the other brother Donnie (.38 special) always said that Jonny was the real talented one in the family.

Now for just a LITTLE more trivia, does anyone know the name of the song that Jonny did, when he was solo, talking about Ronnie and the Family? /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Yeah, I saw "Uncivil War" a few times the first weekend that it aired. It seems like the only thing that interviewer did was go back and forth and try to stir up all kinds of BS. /forums/images/icons/mad.gif I had absolutely no idea how bad some of the blood is - especially between Gary and Artimus. And I was really shocked at the mention of there being a anniversary concert at the crash site. That's a sick, morbid money-making idea there.

    Kyle,

The only song that comes to mind is "Brickyard Road". (Ronnie's old address.) For some reason, I'm thinkin' that he did that with Skynyrd though.

    Re: any skynard fans?

You are correct sir. The first recording of it however was done by Johnny. There's a ton of confusion with the whole deal as there has been SEVERAL bands made up of current or past members throughout a lot of this. Allen Collins had his own band after Rossington Collins broke up. Artimus Pyle and some of the OLD band members are in a band called the APB Band.

I'm kinda a Skynyrd freak. Have been for many years. Matter of fact, they are about the only CD in any of my radios. One more from the road is playing now. /forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

That is unfathomable! /forums/images/icons/mad.gif If they do a concert at the crash site, that would be the end of me being a fan!
