I have a 27" Zenith color Stereo TV that is roughly 10 to 15 years old. Anyways, sense last night everything has a yellowish/greenish tint to it. Any idea what might be the problem. If it'll be a cheap fix, then I'll have it repaired, but if it's expencive, I'll probley step up to a new 36" TV.

Trash it... Will be very expensive to fix if it's the tube and you can buy TVs really cheap these days. Move up to LCD or Plasma screen.

Do you have a sub or large speaker next to it?? that will discolor the picture with the magnet in them.

Did you try fiddling with any of the color controls. Does it have the little holes in the back for adjustment? There's only one tube in your tv. There's a metal screen inside the tube at the front which holds the color/pixels. The electron beam is controlled by magnetic field, and it will hit the appropriate color phosphor(s) on each pixel. If that metal screen becomes magnetized, it will throw off the beam and you will get discoloration.

I went into the TV's on screen menu. Everything is set to the factory "PRESET". I don't know jacksh_t about TV's so I'm not messing with anything else. I do have a powered sub, but it's on the other side of the room. Tommorow I'm calling a local TV repair guy and seeing if they can come out.

[/ QUOTE ] I called the local TV repair guy thinking I'd leave a message, but he was there. He said it's a comman problem with older Zenith TV's and he'll fix it for $35.00, or no charge if that not what's wrong. Not a bad deal, if it doesn't fix it, I'm getting this one from Bestbuy.

Spent $70.00 to have the old 27" Zenith TV fixed. Worked great for a day and a half, then crapped out again. So I just bought a 27" Toshiba TV.(27A33) I really wanted a 36" TV, but that would mean a new entertainment center, and in all honesty, I just can't afford all that right now. This new TV cost me just over $250.00 and I really didn't want to pay that much, but I'm a TV junkie, I gotta have it.

Hopefully a typo on your part, but i looked that model up at the best buy site and it said $250 (27a33). Might check on a price match or something.
