I was just wondering if anyone in here is into competition car audio or if anyone has high end, really LOUD stuff in their K5. My system is by no means the best in the world but I like to think it's pretty good. I'd love to hear from some of you guys with a poundin' system!!!

I don't have any pics of the kickpanels yet but they are made by Q-Logic and they are called Q-forms. I got lazy and didn't want to make my own. The place I got them from is www.sounddomain.com The part # to fit a Blazer is QLCQLK1006. They fit perfect and are really easy to bolt in. I'll probably make my own someday just for the heck of it, but I really like the Q-forms. Hope this helps.

    Re: Kick panels

They are pretty pricey. You can build your own if you really want to. Go to www.sounddomain.com/8377 to see how to do it. The Q-forms are expensive but they do give the best placement for speakers. The sound is out of this world!!

One of my best friends is into the bass side of car audio. While it's not at all my thing, I think it's pretty cool that he's #1 in the world right now, and hits over 174 db. [IMG]

    Re: Kick panels

I live in New York where we get alot of snow and salt. I haven't really had any problems with much snow getting on the speakers. What little bit might get on them hasn't affected them at all. You just have to make sure you get speakers that don't have paper cones and you'll be fine.

    hey BlueKnight :
I was just wondering, do those speaker replace the back seat? If so where do you take the lady? I am gonna make some custom side panels and put subs in there but I don't wanna sacrafice too much interior room.

speakers sit behind the rear seat and hydraulically lift up to display the amps. I had 2 telves in the side panel but I couldnt get the sound or the rattles to subside. So I designed a serious custom box.

What did you use to make that hyd. lift? Do you have pics? Is it really hydraulic (oil lines and everything)? I'd like to have a setup like that.

pics are posted in thread " lets see your systems" I used gas charge shocks to lift it and solenoid to activate it. A small hydraulic ram is in the future.
