Back in the mid 80's, a neighbor had a Grimlin with a maga built 427. It had a plexi glass hood scoop so everybody could see both carbs sitting onto of the tunnel ram. 4-speed, and a narrowed 9" rear end. Tubed, huge meats, ...ect. Very wicked car !!!

Somewhere in one of the green tubs in the computer room is that one back issue of either Hot Rod or Car Craft , I forget , is that Blue Pinto .

    Guy took a 2.3 4 banger from a Turbo Thunderbird , and runs 10.5 seconds :eek1:

Yea thats Joe Morgans car. Befor I bought my blazer I used to be big into 2.3 turbo cars. I built a 83 turbo coupe/thunderbird, that ran a 12.00 at 114mph on slicks and 75hp shot, fried my clutch on that one, it usualy ran 13.2 at 103 on street tires and no juice. The 2.3 can build alot of hp for cheap. My friend has/had a 84 RX7 with a junk yard 2.3 home ported head that ran in the 10s
    video of rx7 run.
