[IMG] what im talking about is the bump stops for the rear axle. i just put on new shock mounts and had to do some grinding and them thought about the chance of them actually ever being used since they are 4"s further away anyway?

I was going to when I inbound my shocks.. but the 57's let the axlel come within a few inches of the mount.. and I might run bumpstops again to limit wheel stuff. I've seen a lot of pics where people cut them off so I imagine your going to get a lot of response!

Bumpstops are an integral part of your suspension.... If you ever.... (accidently or on purpose - by yourself or with somebody) jump your truck - just one hard landing can break a lot of stuff w/out bumpstops... Shocks are not good bumpstops /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif!

Don't get me wrong... I'm not knockin' anyone who's done it... Maybe they're sure to never get all 4 off the ground at one time. But for mine, I not only kept them, but plunked down the $50 for the 5" urethane ones. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Bottom line... if you cut 'em off, install a functional bumpstop somewhere else under there...

that does make sense Marv but i am going to have to get the bigger ones because right now if i did air it out they wouldnd do anything because the shoucks would stop ( or get pushed through the bed) before the axle got close the stop. where did you order your from??
side note what the hell do you drink anyway?? /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif

I can get them thru 4-Wheeler's Supply in Phx for about $50.... Or you could call them directly at 602-273-7195. Cole over there told me that they're actually 4.5" instead of 5"...

What do I drink... ?!? Yes, thank you very much /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif... Just about anything beer... just not dark!
