I'm in the market for some. I was thinking 14" travel, 2" body, 7/8" shaft. Fox has them coil-ready for $365 a piece and I have to get the coils from another company. I was wondering if anyone knew of a dealer that slings them pretty cheap. I know King is good, but I can't afford 6-700 hundred bucks for ONE coilover. Thanks.

Thanks guys. I figured someone in the area of Baja would know better. That's cool how all three responses are from CA.

Yeah I was gonna say www.bajaconcepts.com also. I was looking at a set of 2.5" swayaways with 18 " travel for 300 a piece. I just wish someone could build some kinda link front or radius arm front i could bolt on so i could run them...cant afford custom fab right now and dont have the skills and equiment to do my self /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. One day though I will have it fully set up for GOFAST...uhhgg the agony of waiting.

Aight, a few weeks ago, the King Rep. told me that I should run a dual rate spring setup. All this truck is going to see is rocks and the occasional road jaunt. What do you people think? I'm thinking a single rate will do fine. Also, where can I buy coils for these things?

I didn't know if that included the coils or not, that's why I asked. So again, is that just the setup kit, or does that include the coils themselves?

The coilover kits are just for the piece to make it a coilover. The springs are extra.

For the weight of a K5 thoguh, I would go with a 2.5" or larger. I think the 2" will be a little small.. I dont know much about coilovers, but thats what I ususally see recommended for vehicles our size!

Well it's going on a Toyota, so the weight will be down considerably from a K5. Sorry I didn't specify that to begin with. From what I can tell right now, I'll be going with the 17" travel 9100 Rockcrawler series Bilstein's. Thanks for clearing up the spring issue though. I just got off the phone with ORW and asked them about the prices on their coil kits. PRETTY CHEAP! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    No prob....

I like the Bilsteins also. I have looked into coilovers from time to time for the last couple years.... You diecide to go with the single or dual set-up?

Eibach probably makes about the best springs out there.. Just my .02 cents.

    www.roggyenterprises.com

The site is a little lacking but he has posted some prices on POR from time to time and they are alsways good! PLus he can help you with selection also!

I'm thinking single. I don't plan on pre-running it, much less do I have a place to do so. It's going to be a trail toy with an occasional highway ride, so I think if I can live with the unloaded freight train ride of my K5, I can handle a single rate coilover.

I noticed that you're from the same city as their company. Do you work for them or something? hint-hint.....hookup /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif But nah, I have really never heard of the quality of any of the coilovers these places sell. I only know of their prices. I think I'm going to go with the amount of time the name has been around. Judging by that aspect, I know Sway-A-Way, Bilstein, and King. I'm pretty sure I forgot a few, but these are the ones that I know right off.
