I remember the late 70s (kinda) when everyone had the shiney black tape wrapped around their rollbar padding. Seems nobody carries it anymore. The genius at 4wheelparts told me to buy Exhaust Header Wrap because it comes in black /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif. Oooookay. Does anyone know where to get some(the tape, not exhaust wrap)? /forums/images/graemlins/1zhelp.gif It is like electrical tape but wider.
    Thanks...

ok, is this really necessary? Why is it no one can answer a question anymore? Everyone always has to add their negative thoughts and opinions to a post, just keep your mouth shut and don't worry about what someone wants to do to THEIR truck.

I used wide electrical tape. The same stuff we wrap rigid conduit with before we lay them in the ground. It works great and its UV resistant.

When I did the padding on my roll cage I used Duct tape I got from a place locally that had it in colors (used yellow that matched the trucks paint perfectly). It wore really well and cleaned up great too and if it got nicked by a tool or chain it was easy to fix.

Yup, Now that's funny . I fully expected that Jerry. I think that's why noboby sells it. But I'm a rebel /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif. I run no top and I don't want to dig mud out from the seams in the padding. Need something waterproof with easy clean up. Might do the duct tape thing, but hoping to find wide electrical tape.
    Keep it up funnyboy /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    In all seriousness...

    Try calling an Electrical supplier..
ask for the 3M Super 35 tape...
    It comes in different widths...3/4-2"
and comes in red, yellow, blue, white, green, brown, gray, orange...and my favorite...violet...
I got the colored tape from www.grainger.com
