If you were looking for the 35" flavor I would tell you to try Wal-Mart. Yup, the retail giant sells them. I think the 35's were around $170-$180. The 37's were something outrageous like $500 though. I don't quite understand that. Either way. Sorry if that doesn't help.

I just read this over at www.colorado4x4.org
    [ QUOTE ]
For everyone who keeps posting wanted ads for mtr's in a 37 just wanted to let you know that the military has first dibs on those tires and have been buying all they can get. thats why all the tire stores haven't gotten any shipments in several months. very few are available on the market. they are supposed to be shipped out in march but that is the 4th time they have moved the shipping dates. might consider other tires.

I heard that too, but the military uses 16.5" rims. Why would they care about 15"? Maybe they have Goodyear making tires for 16.5" rims only?!

Tire Rack.com has them for $173 but they are backordered too. Last I heard there was like a 4 month wait

Fred where did you go to get those goodyear's. I called them cause I have two on back order. I will call around tomarrow and check. The goodyear rep I talked to said that they had not started making them yet. a-holes /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

BTW I work for a fairly large tire company and have no way of getting any right now so I am jelous of Fred./forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif

The military is using 37-1250-16.5 old school goodyear's, 38" 16.5 TSL's, and a lot of double bead locked wheels with 37-1250-17 kevlar mold (same mold different compound) MTR's on the humvee's. They do have first dibs on the 17's. The 40" are also on back order /forums/images/graemlins/doah.gif

Matt, call the small dealer on 79th AV and Indian School, I forget the name. He hooked me up within an hour after I called, before I drove 110 miles to get my frickin tires [ QUOTE ]

The 15,16,16.5,17 all use the same casings, theyre just molded for the different beads.

I called local shops a little bit back, they sweared they could get them but they were an OUTRAGEOUS price. Like was said Walmart wants $490 a tire! The woman telling me the price when I called practically screamed when she saw that, she said, jesus thats an expensive tire.

I got my second set of 305/75/17's on my daily driver in less than 18000 miles. Off road- good...on road-suck. Im going to try the M/T Claw soon. All my buddies are disappointed in their performance too. Dont cry if you dont find them. In my book, they aren't worth the wait or cash.

MTR's are the tire of choice for street driven rock rigs. I am thinking of calling BFG for a price on the KRAWLER (bling bling) cause I don't want to deal with TSL's.

They told me thwe same thing so I said NO WAY /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif They called GY and IIRC it was somewhere around $230 or so was the "right" price. Their price book is misprinted or something /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

yeah a local dealer wanted $230 abouts and they swore they could get them. But then I got my IROKs. I too would like Krawlers but they are WAY too expensive for me right now. almost 2 times the price of my IROKs for a 37" tire? no thanks.

Well I guess I can wai till Mar (see if they come) or just get some SSR's right now. I figure that is the next best tire for on/off road use that is comparative in $$$
