Has anybody painted their body emblems?(Jimmy, Blazer, Silverado, Sierra Classic) I wanted to get them powdercoated but the shop said that they couldn't do that since they were plastic. I tried roughing them up and priming them, but the primer didn't stick so well. Anybody got any ideas??

can't tell you how it was done, but mine were already painted black to match the body when i bought the truck. i spend a lot of time on trail with minor underbrush rubing the sides and the paint has stayed on . it looks like whoever painted the truck just left the emblems and the body molding in place and aprayed right over them

    It needs a bigger motor.
    what's in it now?
doen't matter it NEEDS A BIGGER MOTOR

When mine got ripped off by rocks, I replace them with a sharpie marker (Wrote "Silverado & K35 Blazer" where they used to be). Probably not quite what you're looking for, though.

I painted the emblems on my '79. They look brand-spanking new!!! I used Testor's model paint. But my emblems are not plastic. Let me know if this helps.

Model paint(Testors) works good. My wife painted mine, turned out pretty good.
