Anyone used Blackbirds offroad? I'm thinking of getting a Detroit locker from them and having them install it. Just want to see how good of work they do. They are located in Spokane. They will install the detroit in my 14bolt for 100$ when everyone else is charging 250-300$. Thanks

I was under the impression you would need to set backlash and get the gears set up right. I am very competent mechanically and do all my own work on my rig but I've heard the stories of people who havent done it before messin it all up by not getting the gears dialed right.

Well, I just checked out an article that shows the install. Looks pretty easy. I thought a lot more was involved. Looks like I will save myself 100$. Thanks silv.

I'm sure you can do it yourself. If you need any info about Blackbirds, feel free to ask me. I know Randy the owner.
