they started some budget buggy build. Their choice of tires: 46 claws and choice of axles...............dana50 rear and 10 bolt front:confused:. ummm yeah I just found that one interesting.

So...they were on a budget and they chose 46" claws in the first place? I just don't understand WTF these people are thinking half the time. To go and back them up with a 1/2 ton combo is borderline moronic.

i recently installed 4 46" claws on a dodge for a guy and thay are NOT CHEEP nor LIGHT IN WEIGHT . so how does this classify as budget and 1/2 ton use.

Did you guys happen to notice that the Extreme 4x4 crew is going to use the 10 bolt from the Suburban Gorilla for this new buggy? The only thing they going have left over from the Suburban is going to be the frame. They should shop around more till they found one with a 14ff and Dana 60.

It's too bad because this show showed so much potential when it first came on. I don't think I've really liked any projects they have done yet.

I like the show. They do have some nice rigs come out of the shop and more so than not they give some god info. Just every so often something funny gets through. What still bugs me everytime I see it is the yellow jeep on boggers--and they're mounted backwards. I don't know why but that drives me nuts.

me, also and did you notice they had the tires backward for the project today?hard core and waiting to break,i think they do that just to show a fix on another show.TRUCKS on the other hand is hysterical.if it was a comedy it would be abbot and costello.:haha: they have a professional wrestler and a guy with the personality of a turnip.

Yeah I quit watching powerblock anymore, not worth my time. Heck I learn more about how to modify a vehicle watching "The Red Green Show" then I do on those shows anymore.

And all I need is ducttape and junk:haha:

Keep in mind that the hosts of the RTM shows don't get too pick the parts. It's all about what the sponcers want shown. I stopped watching most of the crap on RTM just because the shows are nothing but a long commercial anymore.

My favorite RedGreen was when he built a snow plow on the front of the van and then for some reason decided he needed drain holes in the floor inside. He gets in with a .357 and shoots holes in the floor of the van... THAT WAS HILLARIOUS!!!

It's a Ford stupid duty front. Extreme plans to put in the rear of the buggy so they can have rear steer.

red green is still on in canada.

In fact, red green (steve smith) lived a few blocks from me when I lived in ancaster (dark shadow will back me on this).

I once cut T-Bone steaks for him when I worked for the sobeys there.

    Great guy.

Its on Iowa Public Television here,

he shot holes in the van to let sand and salt drop onto the driveway. Theres to many great projects, I dont have a favorite although the Honda Civic with tractor tires was right up there.
