ok, the bottom of my first gen tailgate has some caner issues. I figure most all of the blazers probably do. so has anyone done any creative cancer repair. ie, diamondplate or something. don't want expanded metal cause it will suck in exhaust fumes on the highway.

I have never done it, but I have seen people use a diamond plate lip cover for a pickup tailgate and flip them upside down on the bottom of a Blazer gate and then rivet them on. Doesn't fix the rust, but makes it look a little better. Maybe paint the rust w/ something like POR 15 to keep it from rotting further before you cover it up.
