Anyone else run 4.56 w/ 35\'s

Im looking in this drivetrain warehouse ad in 4wheel mag..
they have a front and rear ring and pinon and master install kit for 399.95.. free shipping and im pretty sure it has the lifetime warranty.
The shop quoted me 180 in the front 150 in the rear...
Sounds to me like those are pretty good prices.. but thats like 630 total ... kinda steep?

Are you gonna go with a larger tire? You're gonna be spinning almost 3000 rpm on the freeway with those 4.56's...
4.11's would have you at about 2650 at the same speed.

I agree, the 4.56 will be steep, would be alright with an AOD though.I guess this is the perfect excuse to go bigger.

You will be fine since you do not highway drive...should be a nice combo with the 37" SSR's....awesome tire in my opinion.

A friend of mine is running 35's and 4.56's, he loves it. I'm planning on the same gear with 35's or 37's.

I love my 4.56s with 35s. Of course, I also have a 700 and OD. But even in D it is a great setup. Also would give you the ability to step up in tire size as well later. Always build for the future (my opinion).

How's gas in the city stepping up from stock gears to 4.56 with 35's? I love the granny gear of the sm465.. with the 4.56's i could crawl up and down these hills at the local trail with tender ease. Where others even with 44's struggle to get up.

480LE is the tranny for big block chevys. They use them in the newer 3/4 ton burbs. AOD is a furd tranny that they use in the broncos and mustangs.

I have 35s & 4.56s with a TH350. I love it, alot of people will tell you you can't do it but most of them have never driven a truck set up this way. I don't see what the big deal is about turning 3000 RPM on the highway is. My '85 M/C SS does it too, and its stock. My gas milage got better around town. I don't have to floor it to pull away from a stop sign anymore. I got worse on the highway, though. You might want to drop a Detroit in the back while you are adding the gears. If you decide the RPMs are too high you go to a 36.

Re: Ok got my prices .. how are they?

I run 3.70s in my firebird with 24.5" tires on the street. I have a th400 and I turn 3000 at 60-65(not sure the speedo is 20 off at 45. It reads 65 at 45). It cant hang with people on the freeway because top speed is 115 at 6000 rpms, but stoplight racing it will kill them even a viper.
