There's a Blazer running around this area with a bench seat out of a '88-'94 pickup. It actually looks pretty cool, dunno what/if he had to modify though...

I have been told a 88 and up truck seat will work, I would sure like the details of how it works and what all it takes to get it in there.

    Anyone got an idea?

    Regards,

    Stacey

Unfortunately all that I can tell you is that it can be done. My brother-in-law has one in his K5, but it was in there when he bought it, so no idea what it came out of.

We did one out of a Ford. We tried to make some fancy brackets to keep the stock seat mounts but it was a mess. In the end we cut the mounts off of the seat and started from scratch and it was real simple. I don't know why we didn't do it that way from the beginning. I think it was a 1985 Lariat bench, not sure though.

The Blazer cab is the same width as a truck cab right? Should be able to fit a bench from any Chevy truck with some modifications to the mounting brackets.

I have a bench out of an 88-94 pickup I was planning on puting in my K5. Its not a bolt in. You have to drill holes, its really not hard but by no means direct bolt in. Out of all the bolts that hold the seat down like 3 of the factory ones line up.

I got a folding center seat/console from a later model Dodge truck on ebay for $75.00. I fabbed seat mounts and took middle seatbelts from a Suburban. It fits really nice.
