I need to find an accurate map of what parts of the beach are closed to ORVs.

We tried fishing Okracoke and Hatteras last August, but the surf was 6-8 feet. No luck at all! First time there though.

Just look for the brown signs with the white jeep on them. If you want to fish, I had better luck accross from Ft Macon. Or go fish off the Sportsman's Pier (they also make a great shrimp-burger).

havent been there in a coupke of years but i went fro about 7 yrs staight. get on the beach access just south of the lighthouse and go all the way down to the tip of the ocean and bay. caught a lot of red drum and sea trout. heres some pics off the back of the house we rented. we usually stayed in frisco and there was great fishing right off the dock of the sound.

Oh, I know, but when we were there earlier this summer, the park rangers had closed off sections of beach, so that you couldn't drive from one access to another by beach, you had to get back on highway 12, and since we're staying in Frisco, I'd like to be able to drive all the way to the point on the beach. The park service's map was updated in August, in the middle of turtle season, so it's full of closures. I'd like to see something more recent if anyone has any ideas.
