Good to see NYC folks love K5's too............

Grew up in Valley Stream............left in '78............then on to Arizona (can you say culture shock!).............San Diego, then Portland, OR first time, then western PA, then back to Portland, OR - FOREVER...........

Still a big time NY fan...........Rangers, Giants all the way.

Everyone has a 4WD around here since we have such horrible winters where snowfall up to 3" [IMG] occurs frequently. I live a few miles from yunit and I see K5s all over the place.

You wouldn't happen to drive that black late 80's one would you? That's the only one I EVER see in New york city, aside from beat to crap city trucks.
I see tons of K5's on Long Island though. I a few of the owners actually love thier trucks, too. Haven't seen one with a CK5 sticker yet!

Yeah, we have some terrible weather up here... Almost put the S10 in 4hi 3 times last winter!! A sales manager I used to work with bought that lexus thing that looks like a new jeep. She said she needed four wheel drive because she lives in a hilly area...

Never lived there, but worked there for 3 years. Used to fly in from Houston every week, cause I didn't want to move. [IMG] Office was at 2 Penn Plaza, right above the Garden. Worked at various Citibank sites; 499 Lexington Ave, 425 Park Ave, Citicorp Center, and the "Monolith" (as we called it) that Citibank built over in Long Island City. Not much opportunity for "off road" work around there! [IMG]

I was there for the blizzard in January of '95 (or was it '96?) Anyway, about 4 feet of snow and the whole city was shut down. Even the LIRR quit running!

It don't take much to make the LIRR shut down!! LOL...
Now that must be good money, flying in from texas to work in NY every week...
That's something we're hurtin for here, places to wheel... Although Eastern LI has some spots if you can get past the local donut patrol...
